Where it is
Strunojcie (today Naujasis Strūnaitis in Lithuania) is a village about 7 km south of Švenčionys (Święciany). The church and parish were founded here in 1781. The present church of Saints Peter and Paul dates from 1848. The parish bordered on Święciany and Sorokpol parishes.

On the 14th of November 1837, in the Roman Catholic parish church of Strunojcie, the Reverend Wincenty Abramowicz, administrator of the church, after three banns read on 31 October, 1 November and 7 November before the people gathered for mass, married the hard-working Kazimierz Witkiewicz, a bachelor aged 25 from a village in Sorokpol parish, to the hard-working Anna Misiun, a maiden aged 21 from the hamlet of Tartak in Strunojcie parish. He is the son of the hard-working Józef and Anna Witkiewicz, lawful spouses. She is the daughter of the hard-working Mateusz and Marianna Misiun, lawful spouses. The witnesses included Andrzej Witkiewicz, Jerzy Misiun and Teodor Bołkowski. In records of that time the word translated here as hard-working marked a peasant.
